Bring out the strawberries and cream, get some cold Pimms and lemonade in your glass and sit yourself down in front of the TV – Wimbledon has just slammed into action.
The tournament started off yesterday with a near shocking defeat of the reigning men’s champion Roger Federer at the hands of Alejandro Falla of Colombia, a player who has never even ranked in the top 50. Will this near miss help Federer shape up and stay on top of his game throughout the rest of the tournament, or it is a sign of not so good things to come?

Wimbledon 2010 is preparing to impress once again. Slated to begin on June 21, the British tennis tournament will display the class and skill of Roger Federer, the top favourite, searching for his 7th title at SW19. However, his recent losses – an early exit from the Rolland Garros and the crushing defeat to Lleyton Hewitt at ATP Halle – could have some other big rivals thinking about taking the prestigious trophy.
For starters there is Rafael Nadal to contend with. His impressive win in France proved that Nadal has overcome the injuries he suffered from last year, and once again found his lethal rhythm, which could very well bring him a second Wimbledon title.
