Josh Hamilton- leading his life and team in the right direction
Last year the Texas Rangers saw their recent multi-million dollar acquisition, Josh Hamilton, sit on the bench with an abdominal tear. This injury left Hamilton anxious to prove himself in 2010. Today Hamilton is leading both the American and the National League with an astounding .359 batting average.
Josh Hamilton’s skill is largely unmatched in MLB today and his drive to succeed is also unparalleled. So far, Hamilton has carried his club to win more games than any other team in all of baseball. And to think that just last year pundits were dogging him and questioning his ability to reel back from his injury…
Hamilton, however, is used to being lambasted by the media. He sustained a non-physical injury which severely blemished his career in 2009 when racy photos were revealed of him performing indecent acts at a bar in Arizona. His spiraling alcohol addiction showed a darker side of the young slugger, one that nearly cost him his marriage and his developing baseball image.
With all that negativity behind him now, Hamilton’s consistency and relentless work ethic have helped the Rangers maintain superiority in their division, and landed the left fielder a place in the starting line-up of the 2010 All Star Game, making him the sixth player from the Rangers to represent Texas. For those of us who love baseball betting, this year’s Texas Rangers have been a great pleasure to watch so far.
One thing that sports bettors from around the world can all agree on is that no matter how badly a player seems to ruin his career with personal mischief, his performance on the field can negate (almost) any wrongdoing. Hamilton’s performance thus far in 2010 certainly proves this point. His batting average has silenced skeptics and brought certain things to light, mainly that Josh Hamilton is one of the hardest working baseball players in the game today.
